SPEC uses your answers only to curate and match you with compatible people. We never sell your data.
Your match never sees your actual answers, only a summary such as “you answered alike”. Real photos and contact details unlock only when both of you agree.
Questions about sex, health, religion, political views and criminal records are sensitive data. We ask them only with your separate consent for each topic, and you can skip any of them.
The service is for people aged 20 and over only.
You can view, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time in the “Privacy” menu or by emailing Specmailimited@gmail.com.
Specworld Co., Ltd. (บริษัท สเปคเวิลด์ จำกัด) (“SPEC”, “we”, “us”) provides a curated matchmaking service through Specdating.com, an AI interviewer (Speccy), post-match chat rooms and related channels. We know that what you share with us is deeply personal. This policy follows Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (“PDPA”) and the guidelines of the Personal Data Protection Committee. It explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your data, and what rights you have.

This policy covers data we collect through Specdating.com, questionnaires and AI interviews, post-match chat rooms, payments, contact with our team, and SPEC’s social media accounts (Instagram @spec.dating, TikTok @specdating). It does not cover third-party websites or services we link to.

5.2 Sensitive data (Section 26)
We collect this data only with your explicit consent, given separately for each topic. Every question has a “Prefer not to answer” option, and declining does not stop you using the core service.

Criminal records: we never ask you to describe past cases and never search other sources ourselves. We accept only official documents you submit voluntarily, keep just the “passed” result and check date, delete the document within 30 days, and show other users nothing but the badge. We handle this data under the measures set by law and the Personal Data Protection Committee.
We do not collect: national ID numbers (unless needed for identity verification, and we will tell you first), race, genetic data, trade union data, or medical results you have not chosen to submit.
5.3 Data about other people you mention
Some questions touch on exes or family. Please answer without names or details that reveal who they are. If we receive data that identifies someone else, we will not use it for any other purpose and may delete it.

8AI and match decisions
Speccy is an interview system that SPEC builds and runs itself. It asks questions, summarises answers, scores compatibility by topic and suggests conversation topics in chat rooms.
Match results are reviewed by our team before they reach you. The system does not decide fully automatically.
We use Anthropic’s Claude AI through its business API to help analyse answers, summarise them and draft match results. This data is processed on servers outside Thailand (see section 11). We send only the answers needed for the analysis, and we only choose providers that do not use your data to train their own models. If we add another AI provider, we will update this policy and tell you first.
You can ask us to explain a match result or to review it again.
9If you do not provide data
Some data is needed for matching, such as age, gender, the gender you are interested in and a way to contact you. Without it, we cannot provide the service. You can choose not to give sensitive data, financial data or marketing consent; your matches may simply fit less closely.

11Transfers outside Thailand
Some cloud, database and AI providers store or process data on servers outside Thailand, e.g. in the United States, Singapore or elsewhere. These countries may not protect data to the same standard as Thailand.
General data is transferred as necessary to provide the service under our contract with you (s.28(3)).
Sensitive data is transferred only with your consent after you are informed of this risk (s.28(2)).
We choose providers with internationally recognised security measures and data protection terms.

How to use your rights: the “Privacy” menu in your account, or email Specmailimited@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days, free of charge, and may ask for information to confirm you are the data owner. We may refuse a request where the law allows, e.g. when we must keep data by law or the request affects others’ rights, and we will tell you why.
15Withdrawing consent
Switch off each topic in the “Privacy” menu or tell us by email. The system shows you the updated status.
Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully done before it.
If you withdraw consent for sensitive data, we delete those answers, and future matches may fit less closely.
If you withdraw consent for a background check or face verification, the related badge is removed.

18Third-party links and services
Our website may link to Instagram, TikTok, LINE or other services, which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices; please read their policies.
19Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or the law changes, and will tell you via the website or email before changes take effect. If we add a new purpose or a new type of sensitive data, we will ask for consent again before using the data. The current version shows its update date on the first page. If the Thai and English versions differ, the Thai version prevails.
This is what users see before the first question. Every box starts unticked. Box 1 is an acknowledgement (required). Boxes 2–8 are separate consents; users can use the core service without them, and questions in any group not consented to are skipped automatically.

If unticked, our team will verify you another way such as a short video call with our team.

I consent to submitting a police clearance certificate issued by a competent authority to earn a “Background checked” badge. SPEC keeps only the result and check date, deletes the document within 30 days, and shows others no details.
If unticked, you can use the service as normal, just without this badge.

I consent to SPEC using my contact details and interests to send news, promotions and events by email, LINE or SMS.
8. Anonymous success storiesOptional
I consent to SPEC sharing my match story on social media without my name, photo or anything that identifies me. To use real photos, SPEC will ask separately.
